Alcuni Psiloi in costruzione per il mio nuovo esercito DBA Umbrian (1/55e), fanteria leggera armata di giavellotto che affiancherà la fanteria pesante oplitica e la cavalleria Umbra. Le figure sono della Essex Miniatures, molto interessante è il loro copricapo: si tratta del Petasus, nome romano per uno dei primi cappelli a falde larghe impiegati in Macedonia, in Grecia ed in Italia antica.
Some Psiloi under construction for my new army DBA Umbrian (1/55e), light infantry armed with a javelin that will support the heavy oplitic infantry and the Umbra cavalry. The figures are from Essex Miniatures, their cap is very interesting: it is the Petasus, a Roman name for one of the first wide-brimmed hats used in Macedonia, Greece and ancient Italy.
